Where to make the Covid19 test in Algarve?

Finishing holidays, when taking a flight back to your home country you may need to present a negative Covid19 test. Here we will tell you some places in the Algarve where you can make your Covid19 test, with prices for PCR and Antigen, in the cities of Faro, Portimão, and Beja.

Firstly, you need to check information about what kind of test your country accepts: if it is enough to do an Antigen test or if it is mandatory the do a PCR test. For example, for flights from Portugal to Germany, Switzerland, and Luxembourg, an antigen test is sufficient. Other countries require a PCR test. In Portugal, the Antigen test costs ~30€, while a PCR test costs ~100€.

Secondly, it is recommended to make an appointment in advance with the laboratory where you want to do the test. Do not forget to consider that the PCR test takes at least 24h until you receive the result, and consider the weekends and holidays, when some laboratories may not work.

When making an appointment in a drive-thru, be prepared to provide the plate number of your car and your Passport or ID number, email and phone.
You can pay it at the moment when making the test via bank card. The price for PCR test costs around 150€.

At Faro airport with Synlab

Inside Faro airport, a testing station of Synlab is located, where you can make a quick Antigen test, for only ~30€. The result is ready in 20 minutes. You can make your test just before your departure, but it is recommended to be there a few hours in advance, as the tests are made by the order of who comes first. The same applies to Lisbon and Porto airports, you can make a quick Antigen test with Synlab inside of the airport before taking your flight. In Faro center with Moduslab

In the heart of Faro city, you will find Moduslab – a very professional laboratory. Here it is possible to make a PCR test, ready in 24h for a price of 100€, and the Antigent test a price of 30€, ready on the same day, usually in 30 min.
