My partner and I had a great experience with Ocean Camper and would absolutely recommend it!!! The van was new, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for the trip. It was actually our first time camping and travelling this way, and we ended up loving it. We slept really well and enjoyed having the freedom to explore different places at our own pace.

Excellent experience. Very easy check in and the team were great communicators. The van was amazing (Bohemian) – very spacious, had everything we needed and everything worked perfectly. We took it all over Portugal and it drove amazing. Pro tip if you have an early flight is to book into the camper park next door the night before. 10/10 would recommend to all.

We had an incredible trip with Ocean Camper.

If you’re looking for a getaway for two (with friends or a partner) in southern Portugal, it’s perfect.
The van is ideal, it has everything you need. The pick-up process is easy and well-organized. I highly recommend traveling with them. In the off-season, the prices are incredibly low and the adventure is amazing.

The vans are in great condition and come with everything you need. They’re fully equipped, which makes cooking easy and enjoyable. We had a great trip driving along the coast. The engine is powerful and handled the roads in Portugal really well, especially on steeper sections. Overall, a perfect experience. We added the surfboards, which were great and a really good brand for the soft boards.

With Ocean Campers, I rented the beautiful Indigo van and from the first moment I came to pick it up until the end, I had the absolute best experience 🙂 The pick up service was exceptional and they really thought about so many details – both inside the van as well as before the rental. For the duration of my trip (8 days), everything went smooth and it was really comfortable to sleep in it. What I loved most were the little kitchen at the back to make coffee with and store treats and food in there. The outdoor shower was really helpful to rinse my wetsuit after surfing and have a quick shower at the end of the day – and you also have enough storage underneath the bed to either fit a surfboard or other things you need. This trip inspired me a lot for my own camper van project this fall – and I would genuinely recommend renting with Ocean Campers any time! Cannot wait to come back next year and go on another road trip again 🙂

We drove almost the entire south coast for 9 days in the “Indigo” camper (with solar panel) and were thrilled!

The vehicle is super new, was delivered very clean, and was well-equipped.
It’s very comfortable to drive, and since it’s smaller than other campers, it’s easy to navigate difficult/narrow roads and park.

They’ve thought through the interior and used it practically, with everything you need: a large water tank that was enough for cooking and showering for 9 days without refilling (we sometimes showered at the campsite), all the necessary cooking utensils (coffee maker, several gas bottles, paper towels, dish soap, etc.), an outdoor shower, shampoo, and towels. The bed is comfortable. The solar energy worked really well for us – we were able to cool the refrigerator sufficiently and charge our cell phones every day.

My only suggestion for improvement: A little more storage space for luggage would have been better, since we were traveling in Portugal for a long time (but it worked really well as it was, with one piece of luggage on the bed during the day and on the passenger seat at night (you could also leave the grill at the shop, for example, so you have more space… or don’t overdo it with the packing 😄). And while the curtains are cute, the light color doesn’t provide optimal darkness in the morning. 😉

Communication was easy, everything was well organized! The employee was very friendly, took time for us, and was incredibly helpful.

We will recommend OceanCamper to all our friends who want to visit the Algarve. 🙂

This was our first van experience and we couldn’t have chosen better! The van was brand new, perfectly clean, and equipped with everything we needed. We rented the tent package. It included absolutely everything you need for camping: tent, towels, bedding, gas stove, kitchen equipment, chairs, table, freezer, etc. We really didn’t lack for anything. All the textiles smelled very fresh and hygienic.
The pick-up and drop-off times were flexible and agreed upon via WhatsApp. The staff were very friendly, and Joao even helped us load our rental car.
We would do it again because we had the opportunity to be very flexible and see a lot of Portugal.

This was one of the best things I did travelling in Portugal. Me and my girlfriend rented an Atlantic camper van from Ocean Camper and it was an amazing experience. The process of renting the van was very straightforward, and professional. They provided not only a very clean van but all the equipment needed for camping. We were able to cook, clean, shower and sleep comfortably in this van. Simply drive up to your location, sleeping and wake up in the morning to some of the most breathtaking views!! Matheus from Ocean Camper was very helpful and gave us all the information we needed to have an amazing trip. If you are looking for an affordable way to see the Algarve coast, THIS IS IT! excellent communication and service. They helped us put the boards on our car and provided everything needed to put it there. You can also borrow bunch of stuff(beach ball, sun cream, cooking stuff,…) for free. One minor downside is that my wetsuit was a bit worn out and had some holes in it.

Although the tent had some minor damages (like a broken zip), we had a great time camping in Algarve. Everything went smoothly. The crew is very nice and a tent is magical! If you have no experience in camping, don’t worry. You can set it up in 30 seconds and tear it back in a minute. The only thing that I would add to the tent equipment is a solar lamp.

The car is perfect to visit Portugal during a week. It has all you need to enjoy a simple and chill vacation. We were able to sleep in beautiful places, surrounded by nature’s. We had the most amazing time with Ocean Camper in Portugal. The van was equipped with everything you need (you can even rent a guitar or other equipment). The car was really reliable and trustworthy and doesn’t need a lot of fuel. It’s easy to handle and the interior design ist very practical and thoughtful. The team was very friendly, helpful and easy going. We did a lot of research beforehand and there is nothing comparable in regard to price and service – definitely can recommend ocean camper!

Brilliant little van with everything you need and fabulous flexible hosts! Literally left the van at the airport with the key in a lock box attached to the wheel for us to pick up when we landed, we dropped it off the same way when we left as our arrival and departure times were late/early. Non faff at all and no need to find transport from the airport. Would 10/10 recommend ❤️

What a great experience! We rented a tent for exploring the Algarve three nights and we would definitely repeat with them. They provided us with everything we could need (you can also ask for the things the previous campers left so you can save a bit) Even with a small car we could fit everything. We had a great experience with Ocean Campers! We rented the most basic model, the Atlantic, but it had everything we needed for an amazing 4 day roadtrip throughout the Algarve. Nina and Gustavo were both very helpful and accommodating and made the check in and rental process easy. No hidden fees or extra costs and everything was very straightforward. The van is perfect for 2 people and is much smaller than most other traditional camper vans which made navigating the small streets easy. It also got much better gas mileage which was great! Not to mention the van rental itself was far cheaper than any other company we found. I highly recommend renting from ocean campers!

The highest recommendation I have ever given any company, goes to Ocean Camper! I have rented cars in many countries in Europe and in South Africa, but this was a rental experience beyond anything I would have imagined.

We were two people renting the van for a week to drive around in the Algarve region in the beginning of December 2021 and the whole experience was just made perfect for us.

The pickup from the airport went smoothly. The car was clean, well equipped and matched the images on the website. The people running the business are so service-minded, friendly and customer obsessed that I almost could not believe it. We got tips and recommendations for an app for finding camping sites, tips for restaurants and bars, we got to use some free stuff others had left behind – they even had a small “library” shelf and I borrowed a book from there 😍

Always easy to reach via Whatsapp and no issues during the rental.
Handover went smoothly and we could even deliver the car a bit later like we asked to.

They were also super flexible when it came to drop-off at the airport, as we had some special wishes 😊

I cannot recommend this business enough and hope many new customers in 2022 get to try out campervaning with them in Portugal. ❤️

We travelled around the Algarve and Alentejo with the Vagabond Campervan for a month (mid September – mid October) and it was just perfect.

The van is large enough to sleep in, and small enough to drive you anywhere, from old towns to the mountains, the van will get you there. The van is also well equipped with an outdoor kitchen, fridge, shower and comfortable bed (and much more, see their website for details). If something was unclear or not working properly during our trip, we immediately received adequate support over whatsapp. Ocean Campers is a small, Portugese company and you feel that: they run the business with love and dedication.

We’d absolutely recommend renting this van if you like a comfortable adventure.
